Das Marriott Sanibel Harbour Resort & Spa bietet eine hervorragende Lage mit einigen atemberaubenden Ausblicken auf das Meer. Das Fehlen eines nahegelegenen, leicht zugänglichen Strandbereichs in der Nähe des Hotels war jedoch für einige Gäste ein Enttäuschungspunkt. Der vorhandene Strandbereich ist recht begrenzt und derzeit nicht sehr nutzbar, was Besucher dazu veranlasst, etwa 20 Minuten zu einem öffentlichen Strand zu fahren. Zusätzlich wurde die Anwesenheit von Schnellbooten in der Nähe festgestellt, obwohl diese nichts mit dem Hotel zu tun haben. Im Resort gab es auch einen Mangel an Selbstparkplätzen, was bei der Planung eines Besuchs zu berücksichtigen ist. Insgesamt bietet das Resort zwar malerische Ausblicke, das Fehlen eines praktischen Strandbereichs direkt am Hotel ist jedoch ein bemerkenswerter Nachteil.
